Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Class Athlete (the “Service”), a youth sports registration and management platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Accounts are created by parents, legal guardians, or other authorizing adults. By registering a child or dependent, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you are otherwise authorized to provide their information and register them.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate, current, and complete information, and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

3. Participants and registrations

• You are responsible for the accuracy of each participant's information, including name, date of birth, and eligibility details.
• Registration in a program is subject to the eligibility rules, capacity, deadlines, and policies set by the organization offering it.
• Approval of certain roles (such as coaches, volunteers, and officials) is at the discretion of the organization and may require additional review.

4. Fees, payments, and refunds

Program fees are set by the organization offering each program. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers. You agree to pay all applicable fees for registrations you submit. Refund and cancellation terms are determined by the organization's policy for each program. Where a refund is available, it is processed back to the original payment method.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Provide false information or impersonate another person;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable rule or regulation;
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access;
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the Service; or
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding content you provide), is owned by Class Athlete or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the information you submit and grant us the rights needed to operate the Service and deliver it to the organizations you register with.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, data storage, payments, and email delivery. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Class Athlete is a registration platform and is not responsible for the programs, activities, supervision, or conduct of the organizations, coaches, officials, or participants using it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Class Athlete and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Class Athlete from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Certain provisions survive termination, including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the organization operating Class Athlete is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
